“I Heart: MEXICO” Highlights
Our “I Heart: MEXICO” team spent some time serving and playing with the kids at the Aljaba Chidren’s Home on a trip to Creel, MEXICO. Part of our service project while there was scraping, priming, and painting three of the buildings at their facility. We fell in love with the kids as we laughed and played with them during our short stay…
Our “I Heart: MEXICO” team also participated in an outreach/distribution to the Tamahumaran natives just outside of Creel, MEXICO.
You can read more about the trip on my personal trip blog (click here). See some of our best trip pics here (linked to Flickr)…
And here’s one more video featuring our travels from Rapid City, to our overnight stay in El Paso, to shopping the streets of Creel, to touring the mountains of Copper Canyon, and our journey back home again…
Wonderful videos and pics. Thanks for sharing, Shawn.

Yes it is amazing to share this experience. I just visited Chelsea's photos…so awesome! Dalene, have you a location for your photos? The heart of God is so big as we felt some of his love for all the amazing children and adults.
[…] Back in the summer of 2009, I went on a missions / outreach trip to Central America. I led a group of 20 students and parents/leaders from Destiny Foursquare Church and partnered with Black Buffalo Global Ministries to work with them at their Aljaba Children’s Home and do an outreach with the Tarahumaran natives. It was the most amazing trip I had ever experienced cross-culturally to-date and I think back on the experience frequently. It was my last across-the-border trip as a youth pastor. See highlights from “I Heart: MEXICO” here. […]
