Cooking with the eMeals App

I love helpful tech. My daughter will tell you that I easily open and use anywhere form 30 to 40 apps each day. And, though, I do it without even realizing it, there is a reason and use for each of them.

My newest discovery is the eMeals app. It has been especially helpful during my sabbatical as I’ve been learning to cook healthier meals for my children. My friend Derick tells me that I’ve been enjoying it so much because it leans toward the creative in me. I think he’s right. I love it! And it’s been fun for the whole family to try all the new food creations. Here’s what I’ve been making over the last few weeks…

What is eMeals? Well, it’s a website and app that allows you to pick your weekly meals according to the size of your family and the types of meals you want to cook. The meal selections have been great! I’ve been going back and forth between the “Kid Friendly” and “Clean Eating” menus.

Then — this might be my favorite part — you can shop for the ingredients list, which it handily provides. Or skip going to the grocery store by having it send your shopping list directly to Walmart, Amazon, and various other services. I pick my meals, and the app populates the ingredients list; I remove the items I already have and then send them to the grocery store for curbside pickup (at no extra cost). I love it!

I tried the two-week free trial. And then, it gave me another two weeks to try it more thoroughly. And by that time, I was sold. It’s gotten me out of my dinner-time rut and made making meals fun again. A subscription to eMeals is $4.99 a month for a 12-month subscription. You also have the option of a 3-month subscription for $35.99. Check them out at emeals.com.
