The Ice Maker Thermistor monitors the temperature within the appliance and sends the readings to the electronic control board. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, Maytag®, JennAir® and KitchenAid® ice machines; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the ice machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also turn off the ice maker's water supply before you begin.
