Beautiful Girl

I can’t help getting all sentimental every time I think about Autumn turning 18-years-old this weekend and her graduation next summer. She’s such a gift.

We surprised her with a birthday party at the house last night. The theme was rainbow. There were lots of balloons, silly string, and rainbow colors. And Deanna did an amazing job at baking and decorating a multi-layer, rainbow-color cake…

But as I reflect upon the evening, I think about God’s promises. A rainbow was His promise to never flood the earth again. Autumn is full of God’s promises. There is so much God-potential in her; I absolutely cannot wait to see where she goes on her life journey. That is… as sad as I will be to let her go back here at home. I am still her Daddy.
