Beeching and Schwarzenegger

One of my favorite worship moments ever (seriously) was with worship artist, Vicky Beeching, leading worship as part of the Worship Together tour in Sacramento, CA. It was part of the late night package at the Youth Specialties convention that I was attending with Deanna and our friend Amy. I knew some of Vicky’s singles, but was not all that familiar with her, her music, or her ministry.

The whole evening was incredible (including other worship times with the likes of Brenton Brown and Johnny Parks), but the moment that I about lost my composure and fell to the ground was when Vicky started singing one of my now favorite worship songs, “Above All Else.” The lyrics and melody were so beautiful — I just fell to my knees in surrender and worship. So, when I heard about Vicky singing at the prayer breakfast in Sacramento (the same city), my interest was obviously sparked. During our visit there, we actually stayed in the same hotel — we were told — that the “Governator” books during session and we also toured California’s capital building.

This article tells a pretty cool story about Vicky’s time with Arnold and other key senators and assembly members back in May. I think it’s definitely worth the read.

"Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Wrong Trousers

I wish this kind of music was played on my block.  These guys are talented!  Oh, and our family loves 80′s music, too, so this is the best all around…

Good-bye

Deanna and I love Audio A.  It’s sad to say “good-bye” to these guys.  I actually won a Battle of the Bands competition to open up for them on the summer they were just getting started.  Here’s a short story that the 700 Club ran on May 29th about the band…
