I am on the trip of a lifetime right now, overseas in Jerusalem, Israel.  Please stop by my trip blog to read all about my experiences, see the pics, and watch the videos.  Definitely a life-altering trip!

Just got these pics back from Dad’s recent big motorcycle trip with my brother, Todd; I thought that Dad looked pretty good in his new threads.  Then, just days later, I had the opportunity to ride his Goldwing (pictured above) to Pierre for a family wedding that I was attending.  Deanna and the girls had left early so we thought driving a motorcycle would help us save on gas.

Anyhow, I got to wear Dad’s cool new threads (new biker jacket, gloves, and helmet) and jam to tunes hooked up to his 6-disk CD changer in the back saddlebag.  Bonus, was the big white cup (also pictured above) that you could fill with ice and a “tall boy AMP” energy drink for the ride home!  I had so much fun; I love road trips anyway, but Dad’s Goldwing is sooooo… comfortable.  Seriously, I think I could do a long trip easier with it than with any car I’ve ever driven.

The best part was probably the other people’s reaction to the biker in black duds rocking out to tunes on the interstate.  It’s one thing to “rock out” in the car listening to tunes, but when you are on the bike EVERYONE can see you — including your feet, keeping “air time” with the “air kick drum”!  (smile)  Gotta love it!

I thought you might enjoy some of these videos of Kella that I just captured off of my digital camera.  The first short movie is Kella playing with her new Bear floatie-toy on Independence Day at Sheridan Lake… just “cute for cuteness sake”.

The next video I filmed this evening as I was preparing to say good-bye to the whole family as I travel overseas to Israel for a twelve-day trip.  I wanted to get something to remember them all by and I started by filming Kella at bedtime.  This will definitely keep my heart pounding while I am away.

The last video is somewhat of a retaliation.  Grandma Pearl taught Kella a new song while we were away at camp last weekend — it went something like, “Daddy’s got the diarrhea, diarrhea, diarrhea…”  Well, we can’t leave it at that, so…

I am leaving to go on a twelve-day trip to Israel for the International Foursquare Convention in Jerusalem in just a couple of days. The anticipation is about killing me. I am not quite the world traveler that Deanna is and the thought of being without her (and the girls) overseas kind of drives me a little crazy. While I was preparing tonight and getting Kella ready for bed, I decided that I needed to film a little bit of her so that I would have something to remind me of home while I am away. Here are the clips that I shot; this will definitely keep my heart pounding…

I just posted a few other videos of Kella on our family web site, too: check ‘em out. I figure that if I am not in tears the whole Israel trip already (walking in Jesus’ footsteps and seeing all the amazing sites), that this will probably take me over the edge!

Just a clip of the girls having some fun in their new pool.  We blew it up today and filled it with water and, as you can see, they really had a good time.  It was a hot day and the cool water was refreshing!
