I am truly #blessed. I mean REALLY.
…beautiful, amazing, loving, compassionate and gifted kids. I cherish and love each and every one. They are my joy.
I have a truly deep and “uniquely us” relationship with my best friend, wife, and long-time confidant. I win! Period. She’s the best for me.
I have lived out my childhood dreams — playing and singing on so many stages that I can’t even count any more. I started by singing to the wall with a building-block in my hand when I was in grade school. Next month, I’ll have my very first live music recording! I can’t help but be excited! And I can’t wait for you to hear it!
Another one of my favorite things is to see a generation elevated to the next level. I believe in this next generation and I absolutely love those who give their lives to pastor and lead these students. Nothing moves me more than when I see a room full of young leaders pursuing their Creator. It gives me goosebumps. And I get a chance to experience that many times over, in many different places throughout the year. I love it!
I love that I get to use creativity and passion in the work that I do. It’s such an outlet for me. And I’m seriously blessed to be able to do what I do. I’m currently working on a NextGen project that has been another dream of mine — 12 years in the making! You’ll be hearing more about that… soon.
And, I know that I already mentioned how I was thankful for my kids. But I’m also thankful that — for the past three-plus years — I’ve been able to be a stay-at-home father. It has rocked my world to the core. Made me a better person. And given me a deeper relationship with my kids. I know that not every parent has that opportunity. I’m deeply grateful.
And there’s more! It’s been a COLORFUL, wild, crazy, fun #journey that I’ve been on. But it’s not over.
I’m already thrilled and overjoyed with new direction that God has given our family for 2014. One thing is for sure, what a ride this has been! #ThankYou, God, for a life better than I could have ever thought or imagined (John 10:10).
