Our Life As a Sitcom

Today was my day off, and although I’m still struggling to keep it all together with painful eczema-stuff happening all over my hands, I had a really fun time getting out with the family and filming some goofy video stuff for this weekend’s upcoming talent show.

What follows is a video that we filmed four years ago with a special surprise ending for that year’s event; we used this little film to announce to our church-family that we were pregnant with our fourth child, Mikella.  Check out the girls’ reaction when we told them the news…

(sniff, sniff)  That’s a classic… and the girls are all so small!  If you can hear it, at the end I say something like, “Don’t tell anyone… we’re going to announce it at the talent show…”  So fun!

What will this year’s Shoup family movie be all about?  Well, I guess you’ll have to come to the show and see.  It starts at 6:30 PM this Sunday night.  See you there!

Catch Up With Dad

Thanks to Youth Specialties and The Skit Guys for another great holiday sketch. Of course, the place to be on Father’s Day evening is at the 7th annual Elevation Talent Show @ Destiny. The show starts at 6:30 PM and features talent of all ages. Come and vote for your favorite acts with cash or check. What’s even better is that all the proceeds benefit Elevate Student Ministries!
