Visiting Victoria
This week mark’s a very historic week for Elevate Student Ministries and Destiny Foursquare Church. Tomorrow morning we will be publishing our 300th edition of our free, weekly student e-newsletter, Elevate Electric, AND tomorrow evening we will be meeting in our very own meeting-place, set aside specifically for student ministry, for the very first time — WOW!!! Read more about it in tomorrow’s edition of Electric (if you are not subscribed, click here or check the archives after tomorrow).
In tomorrow evening’s rally service, we will be doing part #6 of our “On Location” message series. We’ve been traveling around the world, gleaning life-lessons from every location that we’ve visited. This week we are going to Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls and we’ll be talking about “sticking out” in a world pushing us to “stick with the crowd”. Here’s some video of the falls for you to preview before the service:
Hey, There Delilah
Plain White T’s is a pop-rock/punk-pop band from Villa Park, Illinois. Their current smash hit ‘Hey There Delilah’ seems to be on the minds and mouths of nearly every teen in America. It is currently #2 on the Billboard top ten.
Here’s pretty cool discussion guide I found on this song by popular youth ministry guru, Jonathan McKee. Check it out.
